Fun with Glow Sticks

glow-stick-header

It’s £4.95 for 100 glow sticks on eBay. How could I refuse? I’ve been filming them on long shutter exposures spinning around on my record decks. More of that later. Here are a few stills to wet your appetite.

Some top tips for potential glow stick fans:

1) When you inevitably decide to chop the end off one to tip the glowing goo out don’t let it spray all over your face. It’s not that it’s particularly nasty, it just when you look at yourself in the bathroom mirror it’s pretty alarming.

2) Spilt glow stick goo is really easy to clean up – simply turn the lights off.

3) Pouring hot water on glow sticks makes them glow really brightly.
