The HIlls Miniature Railway is the younger sibling of the Brookside Miniature railway based at Brookside Garden Centre in Poynton, Cheshire.

Chris Halsall founder and owner of both Brookside and Hills has been a life long railway enthusiast ever since saving his pocket money for a spirit fired 'O' gauge engine in his teens. The two railways and assorted memorabilia that surround them represent a life-long passion spent in pursuit of "playing trains" and providing a gentle, quality family experience so long forgotten in this technologically obsessed age.

Chris is often to be found on the station platform trying to look inconspicuous. He won't be too hard for you to spot however - he's the one with the big smile on his face. Remember to say hello!
